Last weekend I was wandering around Barnes and Noble (one of my favorite places to get lost in besides Target and Paper Source) and came across a little display of books on sale. Two in particular caught my eye: “Be Happy” and “Make the Most of You” by Patrick Lindsay. I picked up “Be Happy” and cracked it open to a random page that I really needed to read at that moment in time, and I don’t think it was by coincidence. The books are made up of “170 ways to transform your day” – quick sentences with relatively simple concepts. The cute little books were both on sale for $6.98, so there was no way I wasn’t going to buy them!
These little books inspired me to start a new series called “Positive Vibes,” where I want to share inspirational quotes, fun photos, cute things I’ve pinned and ideas that I come across (and read in my new books) to inspire happiness – and reflect on things I need to work on as well. At times I find myself getting caught up in problems, dealing with unnecessary guilt or stressing myself out on (sometimes) the most trivial things, when really I just need to take a step back and remember to be grateful, because God is always in control. With all of the pain going on in the world and in the media, the world needs a little more happy anyway! I hope you enjoy this, as I know I sure will. At the very least, this series will be therapeutic to me. At the very most, it will inspire you to put a little more happiness into your day and others. I hope you enjoy my journey to finding and recognizing happiness in the little things, and trying not to “sweat the small stuff.” 🙂
Have a great Saturday!
Heres some positive vibes for tonight!
